Jesus Fernandez: His Descendants

Jesus Fernandez was born on 22 Sep 1882 in either Mexico or California. He married his first wife Maria “Mary” Alegria at the age of 32 years (one month shy of 33). From this marriage, he had four children. Mary either passed away or they were divorced. (Still finding out this information.)

At the age of 45, he married Juanita Morales. They were married for eight years, lived in Ventura County, had three more children and then Juanita passed away. They raised Mary’s children as their own until her death in 1928.

Jesus married his third and final wife Angie Lorenzi at the age of 81 (just a month shy of 82) until he passed away on 28 Jul 1965 in Ventura, Ventura County, California. They did not have any children together.

Jesus’ sons and daughters still live in California to this day – some even in Ventura County.

Jesus’ Wives:

I am currently attempting to get a hold of Mary’s children Mary Ames and Rose Scott who live in California. Also, I am trying to get a hold of a granddaughter named Arlene Tolliver by email. This is because I know nothing of the life and death of Maria Alegria. Was he married or did he have any children before his marriage to her? What the heck did he do for almost thirty three years before getting married? I do not know her parents names, or her siblings’ names. I do not know when she was born or when she died.

Juanita Morales was born in Ventura County, California, on 24 June 1910. She was seventeen at her marriage to Jesus’ 45 years of age. Why did she marry an old man? Her parents are Julian Morales and Desideria Reyes. When she was pregnant with her fourth child, she died of septic blood poisoning, according to her daughter Lillian Fernandez, due to a botched abortion. This cause of death hasn’t been confirmed as I have not sent off for her death certificate yet. She had two brothers and one sister. Cipriano Morales or Uncle Cipi as we call him, is still alive as of March 6, 2006. She died on 16 Jul 1936 in Ventura County.

Jesus’ last wife Angie Lorenzi was first his housekeeper. She helped raise Juanita’s children and they called her their step mom. She kept him company over the years and later married him on 18 Sep 1964. She died on 14 May 1966 in Ventura County, California.
